Little Fish

So... I started this new job 9 days ago. It is with a company I had never heard of and then realized I have not only heard of them, I have used their services! I have become a Sr. Business Analyst for Move, Inc. You've probably never heard of them either...but have you ever heard of

Realtor.com
List Hub

that is just two of the sites we run....

Today was an all hands meeting for the technical team. We went into a conference room and had a video call with our office in Vancouver and in San Jose, Ca.  Holy Cow!!! or should I say  Little Fish!!!  I now feel like a guppy swimming in an ocean
       Or should I say:
A guppy in a 900 gallon aquarium?

Hope there are no sharks!

Are you part of the rat race?

I was driving to work (my new job) this morning at 6:45 AM and I realized that for the first time in a very long time I don't feel like part of the rat race. Oh, we could fool ourselves into thinking that getting up, going to work, going home, making dinner, playing with dog and/or kids and going to be is not the rat race, but that would be inane.  The difference is that right now it doesn't FEEL like that. Perhaps it is the newness of the job, the newness of the home, the love of life or simply I am so old I know I'm not going to win any races.

Seriously, I am so happy with my choices right now that everything just feels right...

Except, I can't remember how to change my header on this blog to include a picture, and I'm not really sure about the sidebar stuff....but who looks at that anyway?

Have a great week!

New Beginnings

I used to have a blog... and those of you who used to follow me... thank you for joining me here.
The purpose of the old blog was to utilize my creativity and sell my books. Since then, I have decided that the publishing world is really not for me. That does not mean that I have stopped writing, it just means that I have stopped publishing. I would love to continue to create and share with those who are interested.

On a more personal note, I have decided that I am the happiest when I am close to my family - my family and their families. I have three children and three children-in-law (well almost the third! more to follow) and I have three grandchildren. It just seemed appropriate as the 'threes' lined up that I should be close enough to see every one of them everyday if wanted.  I sold my house, quit my job and moved!

NOW I rent a house - that feels very much like home.
NOW I have a new job - that seems to be a perfect fit
NOW I can see my grand children (and children) whenever I want.

I suppose the moral of this story is that when something feels right - but everyone around you asks "WHY?" you should believe in your inner being and GO for it.

This blog will be all about the new adventures I encounter with my new life.

Thanks for coming along for the ride!
