(If you want to send me words that you would like us all to ponder - please feel free to do so!)
This is one of those words that has so many varying definitions. Of course a box is a square container, but they come in so many sizes and shapes.
and then when you throw a ribbon on it it becomes a gift box!
There is also a box on forms that you have to fill in...
There are window boxes which usually hold flowers:
and a window box valance
In addition there is a sport where in you box....
Now why this isn't just called fighting is beyond me!
AND then there is Boxing day?????
What do you think about this word? Link up and join in the fun!
Happy Pondering
"Think outside the box" is an expression I picked up while I was watching an American drama several years ago, whose title I don't remember. I find this phrase interesting.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good phrase
DeleteThe window box reminds me of Europe, where so many apartments have window boxes with lovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteI love them!
DeleteShoe boxes of which I own tooooo many!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday!
Great ponder again. Sorry I missed last week.
ReplyDeletethanks and no problem
DeleteI am an "outside the box" person, but my cats love boxes... any kind, the more the better! Flower boxes are fun, everyone should have one, and giftwrapped boxes are of course the very best! :-)
ReplyDeleteAll I know is that sometimes, I could just get my kids a giant box to keep them busy instead of spending hundreds of dollars for gifts. Boxes are fun.
ReplyDeleteI don't get boxing. at all. two men just standing there punching the crap out of one another?? yeah, that's fighting. They are usually in sick shape though. crazy fit.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is definitely flower window boxes. Although storage boxes are becoming a favourite because when you have lots of toys and kids stuff around; they are very handy!
